Businesses are always using the internet these days for marketing purposes! Twitter has so many benefits along with all other social networking sites and is a great way to keep people/customers up to date with whats going on! Like tweetbuddy said, it will only get stronger!

Hey and I firmly believe Twitter marketing will only continue to get stronger. It has much more use in advertising and business, due to the fact it isn't as personal as FaceBook. There's not a huge emphasis on the profile, instead it just cuts to the chase and delivers it's message.

Twitter is a great way to get your customers involved in what your doing and keep them up to date. I find also it is a great way to drive more traffic to a small businesses website too, so think its a good marketing tool

It's a bit annoying that services that were meant to connect real people like twitter and facebook, are used to market goods to us, and while it is less invasive than previous methods its still a constant reminder of our perennial state of consumerism.

Twitter is one of the most popular social networking applications on the Internet and its popularity continues to grow stronger each day. Heck maybe they are going through massive layoffs and an opportunity presents itself to acquire them or at least hire some of their laid off employees.

Hey guess what? Your competitors are on Twitter. As a result you might want to consider monitoring their tweets from time to time to see what they are working on. Perhaps they are preparing to launch a new product or are opening a new branch. Heck maybe they are going through massive layoffs and an opportunity presents itself to acquire them or at least hire some of their laid off employees. Twitter can be a great environment for monitoring what the competition is doing. It can also be a great way just to see how your competition is using Twitter themselves. Perhaps you can pick up a tip or two.

For businesses, there are a number of benefits to using Twitter. Many of which deal with the real-time gathering of information. Twitter allows you to interact with potential prospects and your target audience. While you do not want to be "in their face" all of the time, Twitter does allow you to engage with these people by re-tweeting their posts or responding to something that they may have tweeted about....

I know it's not a marketing strategy, but when I have trained agents within my board on web 2.0 and the vaule of Twitter. We encourage Brokers to make their Agents tweet every 30 minutes of what they are doing. It's a good way for a Broker to keep a pulse on what is happening within their company and also encourage Agent productivity. Just a Twitter tip.

Good stuff. Most marketers are using Twitter to simply drive more traffic to their web site. The most common tactics are direct linking to web pages or promotional pages.
