Article marketing is great and easy to do with dragon naturally speaking. I’ve tried a few spinners but find that you have to re read to output and correct it to make it look like a 2010 human wrote it.

Yes I agree with you. Article marketing is great and easy and spinning articles does help in getting more unique articles published all over the web. As you said, you need to reread the spun article if you use a software to spin it automatically.
But you also can use a software to get the article spun faster. The software does help to find words which can be replaced with other words easily and still sound like a human has written the article.
You’re absolutelly right, I’ve been telling my newbie SEO followers that content is the key to get people to see your website. And writing articles just bring your customers to your site on a regular basis to check what you have new.
I have to say also that articles are one of the best ways to get traffic and build backlinks.
Here is the biggest problem that I have found, not sure why but, where do you guys find all these sites to submit your articles to?
Do you use software for the submission process?
I’ve found most automatic spinners to be absolutely abysmal. I at least want to provide a good read for people that happen to stumble across the article… so I re-write by hand or create a unique article from scratch.

@Nathan – Using a spinner software doesn’t mean your article won’t be a good read. It’s up to the user of the software what he or she does with the spinning of the article.
The output can be the same as you would spin the article by hand. It’s really all up to the user.
Articles are a great way to get some targeted traffic if they are done properly.
1 – Do your keyword research on a popular topic. Don’t write an article for a topic that has too much competition so you never get ranked in the search engines for.
2 – Make sure your article is optimized for your selected keyword.
I have had some of my articles out rank my main websites, it’s great when this happens.
Very helpful post, I’ve used article marketing before but I didn’t know much about article spinners. I heard this is how many top affiliate marketers get so much traffic so quickly to their niche sites.
I have found this to be very true…if you use machines to spin your articles, the outcome will be very bad and the content overtime will be labeled as spam. Thus, this service holds true value!

Spinning articles could also not have a good effect on the rankings as the search engines are also getting smarter day by day. Instead original and sober (articles not written only to fool the search engines) but written to give you a desired effect and pleasant to read would be more appreciated.
@Kevin. Spinning articles is a great way to get top search engine rankings and using them NEVER effects your rankings in a bad way. Spinning articles doesn’t mean that they haven’t to be good. The output of spun articles is as good as the user of the software want to have it and if you’re spinning your article before posting them all over the web you can post unique articles which means better results for your back links.
I always spin my articles and will always do. I never had one article declined by ezinearticles.com and they all have been spun versions I submitted.
@Richard. If you’re using a software to spin your articles and you just use the variations within the software to spin your articles, then it is true, the output wont be good. However, if you’re using the software to spin the articles with your own words and you may also spin some of the sentences yourself, then the output can be fantastic.
It’s just as with every software. The output or result a software is producing can only be as good as the input of the user behind the software.
What’s the point of spinning an article? It still looks like the same article if a reader re-encounters it.
The reason for spinning an article is, that you can post unique versions of the articles on all the article directories and the web 2.0 sites.
Yes it’s correct that it will be the same information, just written in other words and since they aren’t written all with the same words, the chances of getting several of them into google’s first page for your chosen keywords are very high.
That’s the main reason for spinning articles.

Very useful tips, never thought about doing keyword research for article marketing. Focusing on long tail and relying on the authority of sites like ezinearticles would probably be very effective. Thanks for the tips.
Just like the famous line, content is the king. You really need to provide your readers quality articles in order to drive them into your site. Otherwise, it will be hard for you to increase your conversion without having any visitors at all.
Excuse me everyone I believe articles directories are of no use any more ,I feel that document sharing sites rank much better .95 percent of my documents hit the front page even without backlinks!

No seriously. Article marketing is still the best link building method you can do. It may is true that you can get your documents on those sharing sites ranked on Google’s first page but they won’t remain there for long. I have articles from article directories which are still on Google’s first page and it’s more than a year since I submitted them. You won’t see this kind of results with any other web 2.0 site. I can speak from experience because I tested them all.
As soon as you stop building links to those web 2.0 sites you’re going to lose rankings and if they rank on Google’s first page without any backlink they may won’t last for more than a week or so or only if the keywords are extremely low competing ones.
