@john. You are excused No seriously. Article marketing is still the best link building method you can do. It may is true that you can get your documents on those sharing sites ranked on Google’s first page but they won’t remain there for long. I have articles from article directories which are still on Google’s first page and it’s more than a year since I submitted them. You won’t see this kind of results with any other web 2.0 site. I can speak from experience because I tested them all.

As soon as you stop building links to those web 2.0 sites you’re going to lose rankings and if they rank on Google’s first page without any backlink they may won’t last for more than a week or so or only if the keywords are extremely low competing ones.

Excuse me everyone I believe articles directories are of no use any more ,I feel that document sharing sites rank much better .95 percent of my documents hit the front page even without backlinks!

Just like the famous line, content is the king. You really need to provide your readers quality articles in order to drive them into your site. Otherwise, it will be hard for you to increase your conversion without having any visitors at all.

Very useful tips, never thought about doing keyword research for article marketing. Focusing on long tail and relying on the authority of sites like ezinearticles would probably be very effective. Thanks for the tips.

The reason for spinning an article is, that you can post unique versions of the articles on all the article directories and the web 2.0 sites.

Yes it’s correct that it will be the same information, just written in other words and since they aren’t written all with the same words, the chances of getting several of them into google’s first page for your chosen keywords are very high.

That’s the main reason for spinning articles.

What’s the point of spinning an article? It still looks like the same article if a reader re-encounters it.
