No Ping-wait is a plugin that does not directly help you in any SEO but it can be referred as a long-term and indirect SEO-supporting tool. This plugin will prevent the delay that is caused while publishing your blog post when you are pinging a huge amount of services by making the pinging-action passive.

If the blog is set to be visible to normal human visitors but blocked search engines in the privacy settings, then you won’t have any issue as the WordPress engine will not ping the services upon blog posting.

Hi, thank you for this great List of ping-Services. I test it in combination with an ping-error-reporter. The following Ping-Services are not available:
* unable to connect to ping.fakapster.com:80 ~ (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) ~ 3. September 2010 09:44
* unable to connect to ping.blogmura.jp:80 ~ (Connection timed out) ~ 3. September 2010 09:44
* unable to connect to mod-pubsub.org:80 ~ (Connection refused) ~ 3. September 2010 09:43
* unable to connect to bulkfeeds.net:80 ~ (Connection timed out) ~ 3. September 2010 09:43
* unable to connect to blogdb.jp:80 ~ (Connection timed out) ~ 3. September 2010 09:43
* unable to connect to api.my.yahoo.com:80 ~ (php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known) ~ 3. September 2010 09:43
* unable to connect to 1470.net:80 ~ (Connection timed out) ~ 3. September 2010 09:43

First of all - I love wordpress, and have so for a long time. I never thought though that delaying your wordpress posting which scheduled delays might get you banned from pinging services !? New to me, but then again. WordPress is so simple and so complex at the same time, so you learn new things every day

I read that pinging on individual ping sites that are already under a pinging services such as pingomatic doesn’t work anymore as it has to go through them. It’s tough to find a clean list online considering these factors. Another thing to consider is the duplicate pinging if you happen to list multiple services that has the same ping site on them - might get you banned. So, any updated list id appreciate it..
